ET-MULTI Second Research Seminar

On April 21, 2020, the ET — Multi Research project realized, the second research seminar with the socialization of researches by its members. At the beginning of the seminar, new updates to the ET-MULTI website were presented, as well as greetings and congratulations to the fellows who participated in recent events, PPLSA (UFPA), I SETRAM, and I Jatradi. On that occasion, the professors responsible for the work plans welcomed the new project participants. After that moment, Prof. Dr. Silvia Benchimol gave guidance as to the work goals, contributions, participation in events that are related to the research axes. And then, the participants who were in the events mentioned above, reported what they perceived of works that were inspiring, in which Bruno Albert and Rafael Oliveira, talked about the translation and the relationship with games, which promoted several discussions. In continuity, Ellen Ferreira and Walter Sousa, pointed out observations about the tools of Teaching and Learning the English Language. The master's student, Heydejane Nogueira, showed interest in research related to Translation and Literature and its receptivity. Wanderlan Santos commented on cultural and intercultural translation processes. Finally, Michele Lima commented on the study of terminologies. Secondly, there was the presentation of the graduation work of Raissa Porto, supervised by Professor Dr. Silvia Benchimol, entitled “Medical Terminology in Dubbing and Subtitling: An Analysis of The Good Doctor Series.” At the end of the presentation, the advisor made comments and congratulated the survey, and after that, it was opened for comments.
