Interdisciplinary Research and Dialogues: Language, Culture and Translation in the Amazon

On April 13, 2021, the PPLSA [Postgraduate Program Languages and Knowledge of the Amazon] hosted the event “In the plots of Amazon cultures and research: initial dialogues with the PPLSA/2021 class”, held online and accessible via Facebook. At the event, the new Research Line of the program was presented: Language, Culture, and Translation in the Amazon, currently integrated by teachers Tabita Fernandes, Silvia Benchimol and Carmen Rodrigues.
Representing the new line, professor Dr. Carmem Lúcia Rodrigues, presented the structure and interdisciplinary profile of the line of research, the objectives and areas of knowledge with which it dialogues.
In the line descriptor, the axes and scope of Translation in its Interlinguistic, Intralinguistic and Intersemiotic dimensions were explored and its possible developments were exemplified.
The Language, Culture and Translation in the Amazon line of research opens a portal of possibilities for graduates of literature courses and Research Projects whose main focus is translation.
